We walk with girls in Kampala’s underserved communities: keeping them in school, protecting their health and dignity, and giving them a safe place to be heard.
Young Flowers Community Network (YOFCON) is a girl-child advocacy and education organization for girls aged 11 to 20. We are a registered Community Based Organization in Banda Zone 1, Nakawa Division, Kampala, working since November 2024.
Our programs support four of the UN Sustainable Development Goals:
Every program has one goal: girls who are healthy, safe, in school and confident about their future.
School fees, scholarships and supplies through The 10K Project, so girls can stay in class and finish their studies.
Sanitary pads, hygiene kits and honest conversations in schools, so no girl misses class because of her period.
A caring space for girls affected by gender-based violence, with mentorship and links to support services.
Debates, workshops and events that bring families, schools and partners together around girls’ futures.
We are victims of gender-based violence, and it is not our fault. This organization has been a beacon of hope for us.
